About TommyAndFurry

What does an insurance broker do?

A broker works for you, not for one insurer. We compare plans from many insurers, help you buy the right one, and support you when you claim.

Is TommyAndFurry licensed by IRDAI?

Yes. TommyAndFurry Insurance is a brand of Novacred Insurance Broking Private Limited, which holds IRDAI Licence No. 1135 as a Direct Broker (Life & General).

Who issues my policy and pays my claim?

The insurer you choose. It issues the policy, holds the risk and settles claims. As your broker, we help you compare plans, buy the right one and follow up with the insurer when you claim.

Which insurers can I compare?

We work with general, health and life insurers. The full list is on our Partners page, and the plans you see depend on the type of insurance and your details.

Buying a policy

How do I get a quote?

Start with Get Quote, or enter your vehicle number for car and bike insurance. We show plans from our partner insurers side by side so you can compare cover, add-ons and premium before you buy.

Why do I need to complete KYC?

Insurers must verify your identity before they issue a policy. You can usually complete KYC online with your ID details, and you only need to do it once for each insurer.

How do I receive my policy?

Once the insurer accepts your proposal and payment, it issues the policy. We send the policy document to your email and you can also find it under My policies.

Can I cancel a policy after buying it?

Health and life policies come with a free-look period, stated in your policy document, when you can return the policy if it doesn't suit you. Other policies can be cancelled under the terms in the policy wording. Any refund is set by the insurer.

Is it important to declare my full details?

Yes. Give complete and correct details, such as past claims, medical history or vehicle modifications. Wrong or missing details can lead an insurer to reject a claim.

Renewals & changes

When should I renew my policy?

Before it expires. A gap in cover leaves you unprotected, and a vehicle can't be driven legally without at least third-party cover. Renewing on time also keeps benefits such as your No Claim Bonus.

Can I switch to a different insurer at renewal?

Yes. Renewal is a good time to compare. Your No Claim Bonus moves with you on motor policies, and health policies can be ported to a new insurer subject to its rules.

How do I change details on my policy?

Changes such as a new address, nominee or vehicle registration are made through an endorsement. Tell us what needs to change and we raise it with the insurer.

Claims

How do cashless claims work?

At a network garage or hospital the insurer pays directly for approved costs. You pay only deductibles and anything not covered.

What should I do first when I need to claim?

Inform the insurer as soon as possible and let us know too. Keep your policy number handy, and hold on to bills, photos and reports. We help you with the forms and follow up with the insurer.

What is a reimbursement claim?

You pay the bills first, then send them to the insurer with the claim form. The insurer pays you back for the approved amount under your policy terms.

What if my claim is rejected or I'm unhappy with the outcome?

Ask us to review it with you first. You can also raise it through our grievance redressal process, the insurer's grievance team and, if still unresolved, the Insurance Ombudsman.

Help & support

How do I talk to an advisor?

Call or WhatsApp us on +91 84700 67555, or email info@tommyandfurry.com. An advisor can also call you back.

Does TommyAndFurry ever ask for OTPs or passwords over the phone?

No. Never share OTPs, card PINs or passwords with anyone who calls you. IRDAI and its officials do not sell policies, announce bonuses or invest premiums. If you get such a call, lodge a police complaint.
