How to make a claim

Death claim
The insurer pays the sum assured to the nominee- 1The nominee tells the insurer, or us, about the claim

How much life cover do I need?
Enough to replace your income for the years your family depends on it, clear your loans and fund goals such as your children's education. Our HLV calculator and an advisor can help you work out a figure.
What is the difference between term and return of premium plans?
A term plan pays only if you pass away during the term. A return of premium plan also refunds the premiums you paid if you outlive the term, but it costs more.
Can I change my nominee?
Yes. You can usually change or add nominees during the policy term by sending a request to the insurer.
What happens if I miss a premium?
Policies give a grace period after the due date. If you don't pay within it, the policy may lapse, and you may need to revive it on the insurer's conditions.
Do I need a medical test?
It depends on your age, cover amount and health. Many insurers ask for a medical check-up or reports before issuing higher covers.
Do I get a tax benefit on my premium?
Premiums may qualify for a deduction under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, up to [₹ LIMIT], as per applicable tax laws. Please check with your tax advisor.
