What is property insurance?
Property insurance pays for loss of or damage to buildings, contents, stock and machinery from insured events such as fire, storm, flood or burglary.
The sum insured should reflect the value of what you're protecting. If you under-insure, the amount paid on a claim can be reduced.

How to make a claim
We help with every claim, from the first call to settlement.
Property claim
A surveyor assesses the loss before settlement- 1Tell the insurer, or us, as soon as possible; inform the police for theft or riot
- 2Take steps to stop further damage and keep damaged items
- 3A surveyor inspects the loss; share bills, photos and records
- 4The insurer settles the assessed amount as per the policy
Insure for the right value
If the sum insured is lower than the actual value, many policies pay claims in proportion. Review your values at every renewal.
