Work at a broker that answers to the customer
TommyAndFurry Insurance is a brand of Novacred Insurance Broking Private Limited, an IRDAI-licensed direct broker (life & general) (Licence No. 1135) based in Pune. We do not have live openings listed right now, but we read every application that reaches us.
Open positions
We have no live openings listed on this page at the moment. This page is not connected to a recruitment system, so applications reach us by email and we reply to them by hand.
Send us your CV and a few lines about the work you want to do, and we will tell you honestly whether there is anything now or later.
A dedicated careers address, [CAREERS EMAIL], is still to be set up. Until it is, applications go to info@tommyandfurry.com.
How hiring works
Four steps, all done by people here. We do not use a recruitment portal.
You write to us
Send your CV with a few lines about the work you want and the area it fits. Tell us where you are based and when you could start.
A first call
A short conversation about your experience and what you are looking for, and about what the role would actually involve day to day.
A conversation with the team
You meet the people you would work with and talk through real examples from the role: a case, a claim, a piece of code or a customer call, depending on the area.
Offer and joining
If it fits both ways we make an offer with the terms in writing. Where a role requires IRDAI-mandated training or certification, that has to be completed before you can start soliciting insurance.
Why work here
What the work itself gives you. Anything we cannot state as a fact is not on this page.
Regulated work, done properly
Broking is licensed work under IRDAI rules. You learn how cover is actually placed, what a policy wording means, and why the details in a proposal form decide whether a claim is paid.
The whole product, not one slice
We cover thirteen categories of insurance, for families and for businesses, plus mutual funds and loans through partners. You see the whole journey: quote, proposal, issuance, renewal, endorsement, claim.
You talk to the customer
Every role here is close to a real customer with a real problem, usually at a stressful moment. The work is judged on whether their claim or their policy came out right.
You are on their side
A broker is appointed by the customer, not by an insurer. When something goes wrong you are expected to push the insurer, not defend them.
Pay, leave and benefits are set per role: [COMPENSATION & BENEFITS].
The kinds of roles
These are the areas we hire into when we hire. They are descriptions of the work, not vacancies.
Advisory & sales
Understand what a customer needs to cover, compare plans across our partner insurers and explain the difference in plain words. Motor, health, life and pet on the personal side; property, liability, marine and business cover on the commercial side. Any role that involves soliciting insurance requires the IRDAI-mandated training and certification for that role.
- Listening before recommending
- Comfort with numbers and policy wording
- Clear spoken and written English, and the languages your customers use
Operations & servicing
Keep policies correct and moving: proposals, KYC, issuance, renewals, endorsements and the day-to-day coordination with insurers when something does not go through.
- Accuracy with documents and data
- Following a case until it is closed
- Working with insurer portals
Claims
Register a claim with the insurer, tell the customer exactly which documents are needed, follow it up, and escalate through the grievance and IRDAI route when a decision looks wrong.
- Calm with people under stress
- Reading policy terms closely
- Writing a clear case for the insurer
Technology & product
Build and run the website, the quote and claim journeys and the internal tools behind them, including the integrations with insurer systems.
- Web engineering, or product and design for the web
- Care about accessibility and page speed
- Working with regulated content
Looking to sell insurance on your own schedule?
That is a POSP, not a job with us: a Point of Sales Person is certified to sell specified insurance products through a broker and earns commission on what they place.
